HELLO INTERVARSITY! We're pumped because we've gathered an AWESOME group of returning and new students. To help us get to know each other and build friendships, we're working on scheduling some fun social acitivites. We're glad you'll be joining us! Bring a friend, or come make some new ones.
As a Christ-Centered community, we strive to be Authentic, Invitational, and Missional. No matter who you are, what you look like, what you believe; whatever your past or present - we want to hang out with you, have fun and talk about God!
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A CHRISTIAN TO COME!!! If you just want to check things out, meet some new friends, or even hear more about what Christians believe, you are ALWAYS welcome. We won't judge you or turn you away - we're no better than anyone else, we all have insecurities and issues, and we definitely don't have it all together. We want to be genuine and honest about our lives, love each other unconditionally, and try to grow closer to God as a community.
There are all kinds of ways to get plugged in to InterVarsity: 1) Attend our Worship & Prayer Gatherings on Thursdays @ 1 PM - Basically, this is just what it sounds like - a group of people hanging out together, making friends and having fun, but ultimately worshipping Jesus through music, prayer, and the teaching of the Bible.
2) Get plugged into a weekly Small Group Bible Study. Also what it sounds like (what our names lack in creativity, they make up for in clarity!) - a smaller group of people getting together to study the Bible each week, but also to get to know each other by hanging out week after week, praying for each other and having fun together. 3) Come to any of our Events. We do all kinds of events - ideas range from volunteering and serving others together, to playing NERF wars, to weekend retreats, to going on a prayer walk around campus, to NINJA and Dodgeball tournaments to playing ultimate frisbee or corn-hole.
Looking forward to crossing paths with you soon,
Your InterVarsity Friends
